Member Update 4/23

I can’t believe it’s almost May! There are a few critical updates for the next few weeks, including a disruptive renovation.
First up, welcome shoutouts are due to new members, Crystal, Cleo, and Heather! 🙂
#1 HVAC Renovations. May 2-13ish. I heard back from ARC Mechanical that their subcontractors can fit the HVAC renovations in for the first 2 weeks of May. This means that The Space will be on inaccessible May 2nd until they’re done. I asked if members could continue using it, but because it’s going to be an active construction zone with ladders, wiring, saws, and all that, they said I need to close down for the time period. They said 1.5-2 weeks and I will absolutely keep everyone updated when we’re open again. If anyone would like a credit for membership for 2 weeks, please let me know and I can add one to your account. All that said, we’ll have airflow, the makerspace, and needed whitenoise when we come back! Thank you in advance for your patience for this much needed upgrade!
#2 Seattle Coworking Conference. I will be in Seattle May 15-23rd for an international coworking conference. Ryan will be checking in on things and I’ll be available any time by cell 802-222-1909.
#3 Youth Camp. We’re running the Youth Camp for April break again next week (4/25-29). The mornings will be computer STEM lessons so it shouldn’t get too wild. Afternoons will mostly be at the library and we added outside “recess” time this session so they can get out and run all of their energy out. 🙂
#4 Events Heads Up. Our last Music & Morsels event sold out before I think most members realized it was going on. Sooooo, I’m giving you a heads up on fun stuff like that from now on! We have Music & Morsels again on Tue 5/24 and then Bits & Bites (storytelling) on Tue 5/31. I’ll be announcing this to the public on Monday, so reserve your seat now if you’re interested. https://thespaceonmain.org/live
#5 All Day Gaming. Our last Sunday all day gaming is tomorrow, 4/24. Due to conflicts (REACT UV graduation), we’re starting at 12pm this time around so the event will run 12-9pm. Members are free and everyone else is $5. Registration can be found here: https://thespaceonmain.org/gaming
I think that’s it for big things at the moment! It’s been so nice to see more of you in – and to start seeing the sun more. Soon we’ll have tables back on Main Street for outside seating! 🙂
Please do not hesitate to email or text me if you have any questions. Thank you!
Have a great weekend!
