Why would people want to work from The Space if they have a decent Internet connection at home?
A majority of our members have a solid Internet connection at home. Remote and contract work is isolating and lonely. We’re here to provide a sense of connection to other human beings. Here are a few stats to illustrate the benefits of coworking: 60% of people said they were more relaxed at home since coworking; 64% of coworkers are better able to complete tasks on time; 84% of people who use coworking spaces are more engaged and motivated; 89% of people who cowork reported being happier; and 90% of people said they felt more confident when coworking.
What do you have for Internet speeds? Cell service?
We have a dedicated fiber connection. Verizon provides the best cell coverage locally (we also boost it).
How do I get started?
Please apply at least 48 hours in advance in order to schedule a quick walkthrough prior to using The Space for the first time. During our slower months of December through May, it is best to get in touch 1 week in advance. Walkthrough scheduling is subject to staff availability. We do our best to accommodate requests.
Can I purchase a Day Pass?
We do not offer day-of Day Passes. Once you apply and are onboarded, you can purchase a Day Tripper Punch Pass for M-F 8am-5pm access OR the Around-the-Clock Explorer Punch Pass for 24/7 access. Both Punch Passes require a minimum of 5 punches and can be re-upped monthly. Punches expire 6 months from the date of purchase.
What are The Space’s hours?
Members have access to The Space 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (depending on their membership level). Door access is provided through an app installed on your smartphone. Administrative staff is typically available Tuesday-Friday and is scheduled in advance.
What types of members do you have?
We have a diverse membership made up of entrepreneurs, remote workers, nonprofits, creatives, students, and general community members who want a space to connect with others. This includes writers, video producers, photographers, project managers, graduate students, HR directors, those in EdTech/FinTech/GeoTech/MedTech/etc., and more. Our membership is always changing and growing.
Is it okay that I am constantly on calls for my job?
Absolutely. Most members are. Call can be taken from the shared open space. If you have privacy concerns or need a spot to focus, you can book one of our phone booths.
I need to use an external monitor with my laptop.
We have monitors, mice, keyboards, and cables you can borrow while you’re here. Simply return them when you’re done working for the day.
My partner and I are both interested in membership. Is there a discount available?
Our Crew Member membership is available at a 50% discount to help couples pay for a second membership (restrictions apply).
Are there member events and networking opportunities?
Yes! We host regular events for members as well as public networking events. Check the calendar regularly for updates.
How does parking work?
Please use the public parking lots at either end of Main Street, as seen in this Google Map. All Main Street parking has a two-hour limit (particularly important in the winter for plowing).
